I focus on three things for teaching. The first is creating interesting classes in which all students can participate. The second is encouraging students to be independent learners. The third is respecting students' opinions.
To learn English, I believe that students must do two things. First, they must do a lot of practice. To do this, I use materials that help students memorize vocabulary, practice pronunciation, and practice writing. Second, students must use English. To do this, I have students write essays, give presentations and speeches, and do other activities to develop their ability to understand and communicate effectively.
Since English is an international language (EIL), we need to teach and use English actively in many different situations and with people from many different backgrounds. Learning a second language is interesting because it provides new perspectives for seeing the world and new opportunities for participating in globalized market places.
