A Message from Hideo INABA, newly appointed President
Tsuyama National College of Technology marks its 45th anniversary this year. We have turned out almost 5,000 graduates, who contribute to society. Our collage has four departments such as Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Electronics and Control Engineering, and Department of Computer and Information Engineering. Each department accepts forty students per academic year. Tsuyama National College of Technology can be said to be moderate in size.
Technical junior colleges including ours are characterized in that the students start having professional education so as to become competent engineer when relatively young. In other words, even shortly after their entrance, they are trained to be engineers through our practical-mineded programs. Our target is to foster students who are highly skilled, profoundly understand theories, and apply such theories for designing and developing creative devices or equipments. After graduation, they can not only find employments with ease, but also can enter universities as transfer students. They also have a way of proceeding to our advanced program course and continue studying for another two years at our college. The advanced program enables the students to acquire bachelor's degree of engineering.
Our college mottos are freedom, creation and autonomy. Each student is expected to act adequately as such. Forty percent of students live in our dormitory, which is convenient for students from outside of Tsuyama. For female students, women's dormitory is also available. Additionally, several club activities are encouraged.
Tsuyama National College of Technology is located on upland in the northeast of Tsuyama, richly endowed with nature. We also offer extension lectures for residents and technical corporation for companies, to live up to local society.
